Four games now without a goal, 6 without a win, but at least we've now reached the play offs.

Having said that, if we play like we did on Saturday in the play offs we have no chance, we were shite again, poor passing, too much long ball, odd tactical decisions and people playing out of position.

Admittedly Plymouth came to defend but we should be creating a lot more than we are at the moment, I cannot remember us seriously troubling Larrieu in the Plymouth goal once other than when Healy struck the post.

Why play Gary Kelly at all if he is suffering from a virus? Why not take the opportunity to rest him?
I thought Beckford had been signed as a striker but no not now; he is played on the wing like that other striker David Healy.

Why not give Killa a few games to get him up to speed before the play offs?

We are struggling badly but the only consolation is that so are most of our rivals and we still have a few games to get our form back, though with KB at the helm I cannot see that happening.

Reading this weekend will give us a real idea of how far we have come in the last 12 months, if we give them a good game I will be happier, even if we get beaten, a goal from open play would be nice.

It is all about preparing for the play offs now, we need to get some confidence back before the season ends, there should be no reason to play with any fear between now and then. At least the last 4 opponents are unlikely to put every man behind the ball for 90 minutes, having said that Hull City didn't do that and we couldn’t score against them either.

Leeds United v Plymouth Argyle

A win today and we are guaranteed a play off spot which is not quite what we were looking for a few weeks ago.

Today’s opposition are currently in 14th place with absolutely nothing to play for and we beat them 3-0 at theirs just a few months ago so on the face of it should be an easy 3 points but the way we are playing it could easily end up 0-0.

KB has to look outside last week's starting 11 in all areas of the pitch today, except in goal where Neil Sullivan saved us from a hiding last week. I don’t care what Blackwell says about the game and our possession, we were out fought, out played and he was out thought.
The reserves had a good win against West Brom in midweek (3-1), but interestingly we took the game on only when Steve Howson switched from 4-4-3 to a 4-4-2 in the second half, Howson should be dictating tactics today because I believe we have to have the ability to switch formations before or during a game, KB does not seem able to do that, when he makes a substitution it is normally like for like.

Eirik Bakke had a decent game in midweek and is making all the right noises this week, I would be tempted to bring him back to the starting 11. The same goes for Joel Griffiths, Danny Pugh and Fraser Richardson.

Apparently a bug a swept through the squad this week which could mean that KB is forced to make changes. Far from being a problem, this may just be what we need as it is unlikely KB would change tactics and personnel without it.
After no wins in 5 we absolutely have to win this week just to get some confidence back, the last 5 games have been against teams currently occupying 5th, 9th, 12th, 13th & 16th positions so the team currently lying 14th could be a problem.

I would like to see us change to 4-4-2 for the remaining 5 games of the season which would give us options for the play offs, my team today would be as follows:

Sullivan

Kelly/Richardson Gregan Killa Lewis

Griffiths/Richardson Bakke/Miller Derry Pugh

Healy Hulse

Bennett Blake Bakke/Miller Richardson/Kelly Walton

I think we should start resting some of the older guys, hence no Butler, Crainey is left out because he is crap and Harding is just as bad. As I mentioned previously we have to win this game bearing in mind our next two against Reading and the Blunts, no win today and we could be looking at 8 games without a win by the time we play the Blunts.

I predict 2-0 to the Whites if we show a bit more passion than last week.

Come on Leeds!!!!
