Just a couple of days ago I was crowing about how much competition we were about to have in all areas of the pitch except central defence.
Now we learn that both Eirik Bakke and Frazer Richardson have picked up further different injuries to the ones they have just recovered from, Joel Griffiths is less fit than we thought and there are doubts about Crainey, Hulse and Blake for today’s game, it is just as well we are playing Derby as of course we have no David Healy either.

All that said I think Hulse will be passed fit and partner Richard Cresswell and Eddie Lewis up front so I expect our starting line up to be the same as it was for our last away game against Ipswich with the exception of Crainey.
I would like to see Lewis do more with the ball than he did in the Ipswich game and make better use of two of the better headers of the ball in the championship, the previously mentioned Hulse and Cresswell.

Derby who are well in the relegation mire are not without their own problems the Johnson’s Michael and Seth are definitely out through injury and Idiakez is suspended, Paul Peschisolido may not play either and although they are the home side I do not expect to much from them in attack though only conceding 1 goal in the last two games since Phil Brown was shipped out means they could be difficult to break down.
I predict plenty of possession for the Whites and a narrow victory Derby 0 Leeds 1 or 2.

Come on Leeds!!!
