After our maximum points haul over the Christmas & New Year period including 3 clean sheets I am finally convinced that The Whites have got what it takes to get back where we belong in “The Premiership”.
The team that beat Plymouth on Monday was not the same team that I saw play so poorly against Cardiff just 4 weeks ago and I think the main reason for this is Sean Gregan.and the fact that Kevin Blackwell is not playing him.

Let’s get it right, if KB did not think he was good enough to play in a 4 man midfield and moves him into defence how can he be good enough for the 3 man midfield employed against the Jones boy and his brothers.

There are other reasons of course Killa has been ‘kin brilliant alongside Butler recently and the midfield 3 of Derry, Miller and Douglas are looking very solid and we have the best group of front men and goalkeeper in the league.
During he last two games and in particular in the second 45 against the Humberside Fisheries XI and Plymouth we have looked more comfortable on the ball than I have seen in a long time and in both cases the opposition have got nowhere near our goal in that second 45.

The last time we won 4 matches in a row the next team up was Cardiff and we all know what happened there, that is why disregarding the Wigan game at the weekend our next game at Brighton is in my view, our most important game of the season so far, if we can make it 5 in a row we can definitely start looking up and concentrating on catching the two above us and not worry about what is going on behind.
