If this was a full dress rehearsal for the play offs I would be very worried at the moment, we were poor to say the least. however, I'm not overly concerned because I feel that surely KB deliberately played a poor tactical game to fool the opposition into thinking that because they won almost every 50/50 ball and had 5 times as many efforts at goal and were never troubled in the slightest by any of our set pieces, they have the beating of us.

Having taken the opportunity to rest several key players and with Preston having not, I was looking forward to some of our fringe players kicking the shit out of some of their better ones, unfortunately that did not happen as none of our players got close enough to them to do any damage.

It was no surprise when Preston took the lead after 40 minutes when Stock curled in an excellent free kick around the Leeds wall and passed a stationary Neil Sullivan. I don’t recall us having an effort on target in the first half.

HT 1-0

The second half was a bit more open with both sides having some half chances but the game was put beyond the Whites when one time loanee Brett Ormerod tapped home after the ball had been bobbling around our goal line for some time.

FT 2-0

Advantage Preston?

As I mentioned before KB must have something up his sleeve, if not he should not be managing LUFC.

Comments made after the game such being pleased to have avoided going to Palace (scene of our best performance this season) as we often have trouble there and that he came out of the game knowing more about Preston than they know about us seem ridiculous when you consider that both teams have just had 45 plus games to size each other up.
I doubt there is anything more either manager can learn about the opposition.

On the injury front, lets hope Lewis and Bakke can recover in time from their injuries. Both could be vital on Friday when the Upper East stand will be opened for the first time this season.

We, the crowd, could be the main difference on Friday.

Is this post some sort of joke? Dirty Leeds, always have been and always will be. You're a disgrace to UK football.
