Richard Cresswell came good against his former employers with two goals in the last 10 minutes to see off a Wednesday side with no ambition to cross the half way line, never mind trouble Sully in our goal.

Playing in front of our best crowd of the season, not far short of 28,000 our own football was not great until Paul Butler opened the scoring on 70, hopefully it was good enough to persuade some of those extra 4,000 or so Whites fans who attended the game to come back again against QPR in a fortnight.
Once Butler had put us in front there was no way back for The Owls and justice was done when Cresswell first headed in Kelly’s corner and then fired home Walton’s cross to make it 3 – 0.

We have some tricky games coming up in February and with the news about Killa’s injury being worse than expected we need to bring in another central defender as, and I know I have mentioned this before once or maybe 10 times, Gregan is not up to it and will be found out by teams with speedier attacks than Wednesday had.
Bring in that extra defender and the play offs would be a certainty.

Crap prediction this week I am pleased to say, we seemed to show no after effects from the Wigan game at all.

– bring on Ipswich.
