I thought it would go down to penalties but I did not think we would lose them with all the regular penalty specialists we have in the team.
Wigan v Leeds Game 1 (1-1)That said, I'm not too disappointed to be out other than the fact that we could have earned another £200,000 towards re-enforcements with a game at Man City in the next round.

I was pleased with the performance and the fact that we have drawn home and away with a team we could not get near last year, that shows how far we have come.
It was a good overall performance but I think it could have been better, in the first half Crainey and Healy in particular gifted possession on a number of occasions to Wigan allowing them to take control in the early stages and score the opening goal on 24.

Healy made his first worthwhile contribution on 40 and leveled, after that the teams traded goals ending with Kelly’s beauty and penalties.
The cup is behind us now, so lets completely focus on getting that second spot in the league. We have two new midfielders in Joel Griffiths and the return of Bakke, though I'm not sure for how long. I believe all we are lacking is a decent left back as neither Harding or Crainey are up to it and some cover at centre half.

Good luck to Wigan there is not much to dislike about them, I've thought about it for about 1 hour and come up with nothing.
